Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Rekaptr (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rekaptr. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of the videos you upload. By uploading content, you grant Rekaptr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transcode, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not upload content that:

  • infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
  • contains sexual content involving minors;
  • promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity;
  • contains malware or is used to attack other systems;
  • harasses, threatens, or defames any person.

We may remove content and suspend accounts at our discretion.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by Stripe.

6. Refunds

EU and UK residents have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services unless waived at checkout. Outside the EU/UK, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Storage Limits and Expiry

Free accounts are limited to 5 GB of storage and clips are automatically deleted after 30 days. Paid accounts have the storage limit of their chosen plan with no time-based expiry. If you downgrade or cancel and your usage exceeds the new plan's limit, new uploads will be blocked until usage drops below the limit.

We respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. See our DMCA policy.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time; doing so removes your uploaded content from the Service.

10. Disclaimer and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
